Oxymaj 20% LA Inj.

Description

Composition: 

Each 1 ml contains:  

Oxytetracycline (as Dihydrate): 200 mg  

 Properties:  

-This product is formulated to provide a prolonged action resulting in sustained antibacterial activity, so blood levels persist for at least 4 days.  

-Maximum blood levels are achieved after 4-8 hours after intramuscular injection  

 Indications: 

Indicated in the treatment and control of a wide range of diseases in cattle, sheep and goats as atrophic rhinitis, Navel / joint ill, Mastitis, Metritis, Septicemia, Pasteurellosis and infections of the respiratory tract and in the control of enzootic abortion in sheep. 

Dosage and administration: 

Administered by deep intramuscular injection.  

Cattle, Sheep and Goats: 1 ml /10 kg bodyweight / day 

 (20 mg of active ingredient/kg bodyweight/ day)  

One application is sufficient, but maybe repeated if necessary after 3-4 days.  

Contraindications:  

-Not recommended to be used in Horses, Cats and Dogs. 

-Using tetracycline during bone and tooth development in late pregnancy leads to discoloration.  

-Photodermatitis maybe observed after treatment.  

Withdrawal period:  

-Cattle’s meat should not be used during treatment and within 28 days from the last treatment.  

-Cattle’s milk should not be used during treatment and within 7 days from the last treatment.  

-Sheep’s meat should not be used during treatment and within 21 days from the last treatment.  

-Sheep’s meat should not to be used for human consumption.  

Storage:  

Store in a dark place at temperature below 25°C.
